1st Thess. 5

Jul 6, 2025    Pastor Tim Wilcox

As we explore 1 Thessalonians 5, we're reminded of the powerful hope we have in Christ's return. This chapter urges us to live as 'children of light,' awake and sober, anticipating Jesus' coming like a thief in the night. We're called to grow in faith, love, and hope - the cornerstones of Christian maturity. The passage challenges us to examine how we're responding to ourselves, others, and our spiritual leaders in light of Christ's imminent return. Are we living with purpose, comforting one another, and respecting those who guide us spiritually? This message encourages us to embrace a holistic approach to sanctification, allowing God to transform our spirit, soul, and body. As we navigate life's challenges, we're reminded that our faithful God is the one who will ultimately complete this work in us.
